The Mindful Way Through Depression Is A Book About Depression A Good Gift ?

Is a book about depression a good gift ? - the mindful way through depression

My daughter suffers from depression, which has seen a psychologist in the last few years. I have a book online that seems to be very good. Feel It's called "The awareness of depression. Is this a good idea to bring the book, or you're poor?

  1. Bad "now", especially if it is for any occasion. Just remind him of his depression, and drop it.

On the other hand, if you're a good book called "How to be happy in 10 days or so, I find to be more interested and less likely to be sad.

I know, I know, I do not judge a book by its cover. But I think it is a reasonable exception.

  2. I was off dealing with depression on and off for many years. I think there were times when I wanted a gift, and others as they made me feel more "down", if not read to move. You better get your daughter, you probably know how he would react ...

If he (or she) is looking for an excellent book for use at home / work completed by a psychologist, I recommend David Burns "The Feeling Good Handbook." It is long, and only one way to explain the various approaches to cognitive therapy in simple words. In addition, exercises and examples that might be able to apply in their daily lives. Psychologist had originally recommended to my sister, and she turned to her.

For every $ $ $ I spent in therapy, this was the book that reminded me to "practice" on the positively directed against the office of the therapist:)

We hope that your daughter feels better to ...
